As many of you know, these days there is the World Championship Athletics in Osaka in Japan. Always like to watch the several disciplines and love the finals. The 100 meters for men, 200 meters for men, the Decathlon (my favourite) and many, many others. But there is something wrong with the Athletics nowadays. It is not that most of them use doping because it is not obvious. You can only think if he/she used it. No, why I don't like finals anymore is because of the "new" tradition of running around with the flag of your country after winning. It all started 10 years ago and now everybody does it. Just take a flag and run an extra round, doesn't matter if you were winner or 6th. Just run with a flag when you are happy. But this year the "running-with-the-flag-of-your-country" is institutionalist. At the finish line there are packages of flags!!
Unbelievable but there is one official handing over the flags, nicely ironed and folded to EVERYONE who wants it!. And for instance the relay disciplines (where there are 4 runners) get a package of thee flags of their country PLUS a small flag from Japan.They all stand then there ready for the photographers. Is no one real anmore in this world? Is nothing real anymore? It is (for me) really terrible to see that. Can no one be happy anymore without showing where you are from?
And this one is of course spectacular, Americans (Excellent Winners 4x100meter relay) with a Japanese Flag. Uuuuuurrrrghhhhhhhh, Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrghhhh, please stop (not only the Americans but ALL) this hypocrisy.
And when you look at the arrows I added, you can see how nicely they just came from the factory, clean and ironed! You can see they were folded at least 4 months before the Championships.
