Nikola Tesla was born exactly 150 years ago today!
So think every time when you turn on the light, use electric equipment or change a lightbulb without getting electrocuted, it is all because of him. There are thousands of websites about his life and work, the link above I think is an interesting one. But if interested you can google yourself around. (By the way, Googling is since today an official English verb!)
And for the non-Serbs (and maybe some Serbs) I would like to emphasize once more that Nikola Tesla is a Serb, emigrated to America. He was born on what is now Croatian territory but at that time Austrian-Habsburg! His father was an orthodox priests which makes him for sure no Croat. So a Austrain-Habsburg-Serb-American? Is for instance Mario Ancic a Bosnian because he was born there? Yes it is not so easy maybe. But the world knows it and don't let us be fooled by others who mark him for instance as the second greatest Croat of the previous century. (No. 1 was Tito, also not 100% Croat)
